Annual independent testing for participating vendors.
A consistent annual commitment, with independently selected products and unannounced purchases.
Participating vendors agree to one independent identity and analytical purity event within 12 months of enrollment, then one in each subsequent 12-month membership year.
How the event works
Source Standard randomly selects one product and buys it through the vendor’s regular website without advance notice. Independent laboratory analysis assesses the selected sample. Completed reports identify the product, lot where known, laboratory, method, date and findings.
A membership year, not a calendar year
The original enrollment date anchors the first deadline and each later membership year. This does not require testing immediately at signup, and it does not set a common testing date for all companies. Product selection and purchase timing remain random.
Read membership and findings separately
Verified indicates enrollment in the program. It does not mean an event has already happened or that every product or lot passed. Actual completed findings appear in the company profile, separately from membership status.
Identity and analytical purity are limited findings. They do not establish human-use safety, regulatory approval, or the quality of untested products.
