Evidence over assurances
Specific, verifiable information matters more than broad promises.
Batch tested. Purity tested. COA available.
Across the industry, companies use the same language to earn your trust. But when everyone says they’re doing the right thing, how do you tell who actually is?
That’s why Source Standard exists.
A certificate of analysis can provide valuable information about the sample that was tested. But a document alone doesn’t answer every question.
What was tested? Who selected the sample? Does the report match the batch being sold? Can its source be verified? And what happens when a result falls short?
A company publishing a passing result is showing you that result. Understanding the process behind it takes a closer look.
Companies that do the work should be able to demonstrate it. Customers should have a clearer way to recognize it.
We exist to help make that distinction: between claims supported by evidence and claims that leave important questions unanswered.
Our purpose is to make standards clearer, evidence easier to understand, and accountability harder to substitute with marketing.
Specific, verifiable information matters more than broad promises.
“Tested” means more when you understand what was tested, how, and what the result actually establishes.
The standard should include how problems are handled—not just how passing results are presented.
That is why we exist. To help people ask better questions, understand the evidence, and make more informed decisions about who deserves their trust.
